When you choose a wedding officiant, you want to know that your ceremony is not only meaningful, but legally recognized.

In Ontario, marriages must be performed by an authorized marriage officiant under Ontario’s Marriage Act. Not everyone who offers to officiate a wedding is legally authorized to solemnize a marriage, which is why choosing the right officiant matters.

As your authorized wedding officiant, I’ll guide you through the legal requirements while creating a ceremony that feels completely personal to you. From ensuring you have the proper Ontario marriage licence to completing the required declarations, witnesses, signatures, and paperwork following your ceremony, I’ll help make the process simple and stress-free. Ontario requires a valid marriage licence and two witnesses, and your officiant is responsible for signing and submitting the completed licence for registration.

The legal requirements are important — but they don't have to take away from the experience. As your officiant, I’ll take the time to learn about your relationship, your journey, and the moments that have shaped your marriage. Together, we’ll create a ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple — whether that means revisiting your original vows, writing something entirely new, including your children and family, sharing meaningful memories, or adding a few moments of laughter along the way.

There are no rules about how a vow renewal should look. It can be intimate and quiet, beautifully elegant, or a celebration surrounded by everyone you love. My role is to make the process simple, meaningful, and relaxed, while creating a ceremony that feels authentic to you.

Wedding Ceremony Rehearsals

A ceremony rehearsal is the perfect opportunity to bring everyone together, walk through the details, and make sure everyone feels confident about the big day.

As your officiant, I’ll guide you and your wedding party through the ceremony from start to finish. We’ll walk through the processional, where everyone will stand, how and when you’ll move, the order of the ceremony, the exchange of rings and vows, and the recessional. I’ll answer questions, clarify everyone’s role, and make sure your wedding party knows exactly what to expect.

My goal is to make your rehearsal organized, relaxed, and even a little fun — so when your wedding day arrives, you can focus on each other rather than wondering what happens next.
